Who is behind the Batavia Wrestling Club?
Our non-profit club is run by many dedicated volunteers.
Our head coach is Steve Zimmerman. Coach Zimmerman is a former High School Cadet All American, Reno World Champ (3 time medalist), 2x Illinois Freestyle Finalist, IHSA State Champion and 3x Medalist at St. Rita High School. He was also a Collegiate wrestler at Northern Illinois University.
Coach Steve is supported by an average of 25 other volunteer coaches, all of whom have boys in the club, and many of whom have impressive wrestling credentials themselves. All of our coaches are required to pass background checks every two years in order to maintain coaching status.

Coaches Registration - The following information is required to register individuals as coaches for the 2017-2018 season. Along with this registration , coaches are required to:
1. Obtain a USA Wrestling Coaches Card
2. Undergo a background check through USA Wrestling
3. Below are the instructions and separate files for new coaches and returning coaches.
