About the Batavia Wrestling Club...
The Batavia Wrestling Club is a private wrestling club in Batavia, Illinois for boys and girls ages 5-14 who want to learn wrestling skills through a fun and competitive program. The club has grown over the years to become one of the finest youth wrestling programs in the state with approximately 80-100 kids on our roster each year.
Wrestlers who participate with the club can expect to learn a variety of takedowns, pinning combinations, reversals and escapes. In addition to the technical instruction, participants will increase strength, conditioning, agility, flexibility and self-confidence. We are members of the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation and USA Wrestling, and we work closely with the head coaches of both the Rotolo Middle School and Batavia High School teams to ensure a seamless transition as the wrestlers mature.
The wrestling season runs from the beginning of November through early March. Competitions are essentially every Sunday in December, January, and February. Every tournament is optional, but all tournament fees are included in the registration price.
Free Rookie Nights- Tuesday October 16th 6-7pm and Thursday October 18th 6-7pm at the Batavia High School Wrestling Room. These are trial practices that you can bring your son/daughter to see if they are interested in wrestling before the registration period ends. Wrestlers can practice in their socks if needed. Wear a T-shirt and shorts. See instructions and waiver form at the bottom of the home page.
Practice Schedule- For Wrestlers 8 & under- Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7pm Batavia H.S. Wrestling Room - First practice will be Tuesday Oct 30th
For Wrestlers 9 and over- Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-8:30pm - Batavia H.S. Wrestling Room -Starting Tuesday Oct 30th
Registration: Will Begin October 1, 2018 - October 24, 2018
Registration Fees- $250 for grades K-5, $155 for Middle School wrestlers who wrestle full time with their Middle School Program. Registration fees- Include T-shirt and shorts, all tournaments and USA Wrestling Card.
