Here's some important information for those who are attending:

Important Information for the Batavia  Classic 2019!

We take great pride in running a smooth, efficient, enjoyable tournament every year. Below is important information that will help ensure this year’s tournament is a success for all of us. 
   
Parking/Entry 
  • Parking is available on either side of Batavia High School, off of Main Street or Wilson Street. Parking is also available on side streets across from BHS (Western Ave. to the north and Millview to the south). Parking is NOT allowed at the church on Main Street!
  • Entry for the tournament is through the Athletic Entrances at the west end of the parking lots ONLY. Entry will not be allowed in the main doors on Main Street or Wilson Street.

Weigh-Ins/Registration
  • Weigh-ins begin at 6:30 a.m. and close at 8:00 a.m. sharp!  Wrestlers will be turned away if they arrive at registration later than 7:55 a.m.
  • Weigh-in cards are ESSENTIAL. Please make sure each of your wrestlers has a weigh-in card completed BEFORE arriving at registration. The use of weigh-in cards helps ensure there are no mistakes in bracketing. ·         All wrestlers must be on a club’s ACTIVE roster. Wrestlers listed as PENDING on the club’s official IKWF roster will NOT be allowed to wrestle per IKWF rule.
  • Registration and weigh-ins will be held in the fieldhouse.  No open beverages (coffee, Gatorade, etc.) are allowed in this area! Competition ·         Most of the bouts for Tots, Bantams, and Intermediate wrestlers will be featured on the mats on the east end of gym in front of the main bleachers.
  • Novice matches will happen on medium circles at the west end of the main gym.
  • Seniors will compete on full-sized mats in the wrestling room west of the main gym.
  • Parents will be expected to view matches from the stands; viewing matches matside will not be allowed. 
  • Per IKWF rules, there will be NO MATSIDE PHOTOGRAPHY.

  • Dick Pond Athletics will be on hand selling wrestling gear.
  • We have a new t-shirt vendor this year as well who plans to offer customized items for each club attending. She even takes credit cards!
